It's late in the evening when there's a firm knock at Kate's door. No one will be there when she opens it, but there's a small cardboard box in front of her door as if she's received a delivery. Inside the box is what at first appears to be a non-descript standard issue SIN guard baton. On closer inspection, aside from the suspicious smear of blood, there seems to be a button at the base of the handle, almost like a flashlight would have. There's no obvious change when the button is pressed except she'll find she can't phase through anything if she's close to the baton until she presses the button again.

However, if they tinker enough, they'll find a strange, black goo seep out of random parts. Touching it makes it creep under their fingernails, up their skin and into their eyes. It evaporates after a few minutes, but will leave them dreaming of a black abyss and eyes in a void for two weeks.]
